The goal is to ensure a guardrail on the President by flipping control of the House or Senate.

The GOP margin in the House is tiny, so flipping just one seat would be a huge step toward the full House. The latest analyses say that is achievable

... if we all execute.

We have to focus, though.  Can't waste money on races that are foregone conclusions, nor ones dominated by billionaire SuperPACs, nor weaken our impact by spreading it too thinly.

Accordingly, we target a race with these criteria:

• A single race
• Seat now held by GOP
• Tightly contested by a Democrat; less than a thousand votes should decide the outcome.
• Not attracting massive SuperPAC spending.

These races exist.  In 2024 seven races met these criteria. As of this morning the 2026 Toss-Up Races shown below meet this criteria.  These will continually evolve as we get close to our decision of which single race to support.

How will we make that decision?  In October, the Steering Committee will analyze the races shown in the table and recommend the single one where our collective support is likely to have the greatest impact. They will follow the process recorded here, using the resources outlined here. Supporters will then be encouraged, but are not required to support that candidate.
